    SBEP holds golf tourney and homecoming dinner to celebrate 38th Anniversary

    The Strategic Business Economics Program (SBEP) celebrated its 38th Anniversary last January 20 at the Wack-Wack Golf & Country Club. The celebration started with a golf tournament in the morning and ended with a homecoming dinner.











    42 golf players gathered at the West Course of the Wack-Wack Golf and Country Club to actively participate in the SBEP 2012 Golf Tourney. The tournament, together with the homecoming dinner, was intended to raised funds for the SBEP Endowment Fund that supports the program's continuing education, research, and publication of the annual SBEP magazine. 





    The celebration continued in the evening as 120 alumni from SBEP classes 1981-2011, SBEP faculty and staff, guests of the alumni, golf tournament sponsors and donors filled the Banquet B of the Wack-Wack Country Club for the homecoming dinner hosted by SBEP Class 2012. VIPs like Cong. Constantino Jaraula of Cagayan de Oro, 2011 Bagong Bayani Awardee Dr. Eduardo Malagapo, Mr. Jeffrey Ng of Cathay Land and South Forbes and Mr. Reghis Romero II of Harbour Centre also graced the occasion.  





    The homecoming dinner program, hosted by Ms. Alonica Salazar and Mr. Edgar Ruado, started with an invocation by Ms Raquel Palang of Class 2006 and followed by the welcoming remarks of Dr. Victor A. Abola, SBEP Program Director.The president of Class 2012, Dr. Eduardo Malagapo, who was received the Bagong Bayani Award in 2011, also gave an inspirational message.  




























































































    While enjoying their dinner by Via Mare, the guests were serenaded with songs from 60s to 80s by the MOBB band composed of former SBEP program director Dr. Ramon Quesada and three SBEP alumni, Mr. Doodz Policarpio, Mr. Gerry Reyes and Mr. Aton Atilano.  Minor and major raffle prizes were also given away. 













    Winners of the 2012 SBEP Golf Tournament were awarded after dinner.  Tournament winners were Mr. Gus Cosio (Funholes-Nearest to the Pin), Mr. Ernesto Villaluna (Funholes-Most Accurate Drive), Mr. Yul Catabran (Funholes - Longest Drive), Mr. Yoshinari Higure (Class C Runner Up), Mr. Art Lumibao (Class C Champion), Mr. Sonny Laraya (Class B Runner-up), Dr. Ricky Solamo (Class B Champion), Mr. Ed Relucio (Class A Runner-up), Mr. Kim Cabatit (Class A Champion), Mr. Felipe Aqui, Jr. (Lowest Gross), Mr. Yul Catabran (Lowest Net - Overall Champion), SBEP Batch 2008 - Mr. Sonny Laraya and Atty. JV Javier (Batch Champion). 


























    The program ended with Dr. Emilio T. Antonio, Jr.'s closing remarks.  Dancing and social interaction followed.
