An IMC student is part of the dance team that won gold in the World Hip Hop competition last August.

Raphael Mari O. Nava, a third year Integrated Marketing Communications student, is a member of the 30-man dance crew A-Team that bagged gold in the “mega crews” category of the World Hip Hop Dance Championship held last August 10 in Las Vegas. Second place went to a New Zealand group, and third, a team from Russia.

Created in 2002 by Hip Hop International, the World Hip Hop Dance Championship is an international dance competition with participating countries all over the world.

Nava is part of “A-Team,” a 30-man dance crew that has successfully participated in local and international dance competitions. They won for their innovation of movement, well-executed stunts, and exceptional choreography.
