By UA&P Alumni

Last March 16-20, UA&P sent its first delegation of students to the Harvard World Model United Nations (MUN) held in Seoul, South Korea. Out of the 16 students from three different programs representing the University, 5th Year MA Political Economy student Ron Ponce Dangcalan was recognized as one of the best at the five-day competition, winning the Diplomacy Award as part of the Historical General Assembly under the Crisis Committee tackling the issue of the Balkan War.

Held in different locations across the world with over 2,500 delegates across 80 countries, the World MUN is the most internationally diverse college-level Model UN conference. It simulates different committees and organs of the United Nations with student-delegates learning about international affairs and diplomacy.
