P&A Grant Thornton recently recognized University of Asia and the Pacific’s President Dr. Winston Conrad B. Padojinog among other high-ranking officials from other schools and banks in an event hosted by the outsourcing company.
During the event, Chair and CEO of P&A Grant Thornton Marivic Espano pointed out the need for the academe to institutionalize partnerships with industry in relation to curriculum design, among others, to improve the competencies of accounting graduates.
She also discussed the supposed market gap on the disproportionality of competent accounting graduates to the demand of the industry.
Alongside Dr. Padojinog and Ms. Espano were Dr. Sergio Cao, Mr. Francisco Sebastian, Vice Chairman of Metrobank and, Dr. Ben Paul Gutierrez, Dean of Cesar EA Virata School of Business, University of the Philippines.
