UA&P releases new book on Sustainability

By UA&P Alumni

The UA&P Center for Social Responsibility (CSR) recently released its first book on sustainability, entitled Sustainability+: Multidisciplinary Perspectives on Going Beyond Sustainable Development.

Departing from the popular notion that sustainability is solely about the environment and economic growth, the book focuses on changing our approach to current development efforts by providing fresh perspectives and solutions to some of the common concerns that revolve around sustainable development.

Among its writers are Colin Legarde Hubo, elected member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Stakeholder in Amsterdam; Dr. Jose Maria G. Mariano, immediate past president of UA&P; and Dr. Winston Conrad B. Padojinog, present UA&P president.

Since 2007, the Center for Social Responsibility has been playing an active role in shaping the global sustainability agenda, and has been the partner of choice of companies in exploring innovative solutions for sustainability challenges. Its clients and network are some of the biggest companies operating in the Asia and Pacific region.
